Firefox resources

Here are some notes about firefox, especially extensions, but I will try to add some other things like configuration as well later. At the moment the information is only correct for firefox 1.0, I will update it for 1.5 when I get around to it.

Tabbrowser Extension replacement

Tabbrowser extension, also known as tabbed browsing extension, provides lots of extra functionality for tabbed browsing in firefox. It is, however, disregarded for being a big, clumsy, and buggy extension. This is my setup for extensions replacing the functionality of TBE I like.

Extensions

• Tabbrowser preferences. Adds some more options in regard to tabbed browsing.
• MiniT+. Adds tab drag&drop
• LastTab. Allows tab navigation in a most recently used manner.
• undoclosetab. Adds a function for undo-ing a close tab operation.
• SessionSaver. Stores sessions.

Other nice extensions

These, together with those mentioned above, are nice extensions which makes firefox a much better program to use for me. At the time of writing I use all of these.

• Adblock. Enables you to block advertisement.
• Disable Targets For Download. Prevents opening of blank windows for downloads.
• Next image. Goes to next image in numerical image series.
• EditCSS. Allows real-time editing of css for a page.
• Web Developer. Adds a lot of useful functions for web developers.
• All-in-One Gestures. Pretty nice mouse-gesture extension.
• Gcache. Makes it easy to view the present page, or the target of a link, in googles cache.
• Translate. Adds options to translate a page from a number of languages into a known one.
• Go Up. Adds a function to go "up" from the current page.
• Image Zoom. Adds zoom functionality for images
